In recent months, we have significantly expanded the functionality of our animation constructor. The cumulative effect of these enhancements has led to a major update for our electric animations, making them more realistic and flexible than ever before. The March update adds an improved version of radial discharge animations and two new electric arc animations. Watch this new animation in action in the video below:
You can download the project file used in the video here.
Here’s the full list of recent changes in this update:
- Electric discharge 4 has been added to the Animation Library.
- Electric arc 1 and electric arc 2 have been added to Animation Library > Lines.
- The Electric Bolts template has been added to the Animation Constructor.
- The wide line and curve algorithm has been rewritten and now produces the correct shape.
- A bug with the starting segment for drift in source space has been fixed.
- A bug with fade-in timing has been fixed in Lightning and similar animations.
1. Could you add an option to extract and save an image from the project? Sometimes when I’m working on an older project, I don’t know where my original files are. This way, I could export the image, make some changes in Photoshop, and import it back?
2. Could you add a pivot point in future updates for the spin and swing effects, so they can rotate or swing from a pivot point?
3. Could you consider adding a smoke and steam animated brush in a future update? The smoke from the Light & Fire section doesn’t give me the same flexibility that an animated brush would. This feature would be incredibly useful for simulating steam from a hot beverage, similar to what many YouTubers are creating for ambiental music.
4. Would it be possible in future updates to create different realistic styles of rain on glass? This would be very useful for creating a horror atmosphere?

In the “Add Animation” section, the animations are marked as 3D. Would it be possible to substitute these animations with a 3D object? For example, if I have falling leaves, could I replace them with cherry blossoms, pumpkins, or other types of leaves?
Would it be possible in “choose effect > glass ball > glass ball effect > draw pedestral” to have a choice of texture, color and shape of the pedestral.
Would it also be possible to put a text that follows the curvature of the pedestal?
