This month’s update focuses on significantly expanding sound support across the app while continuing to grow the animation capabilities of our new text tool. We’ve also fixed several bugs to improve stability and compatibility.
You can download the project file used in the video here.
Here’s the full list of recent changes in this update:
- WAV, OGG, and FLAC sound formats are now supported in Playlist
- Fade in/out parameter added to soundtrack in Playlist
- Fly animation added to Typewriter text
- Bug with loading Zoom animation of Typewriter text fixed
- Bug with displaying animated wallpapers on some desktop setups fixed
add import mp4, I know it is very difficult but it is very important now.
Nice update! Any chance of adding pink petals in an update for falling leaves?
I think we can add them soon.
could we have an option to set a pauses in the animation timer menu? i was upset been unable to find one. really nifty tool
We’ll check whether it’s possible in the current version. If not, the pause function will be added in the next major update.
I would like to be able to customize the clock hands with images in .png format.
Thank you for the suggestion — we’ll rework the clock animation in the next update.
Belli gli aggiornamenti, ma, almeno per me, sarebbe interessante avere la possibilità di far girare gli oggetti sul proprio asse ( es: palle di Natale ). oppure far muovere occhi, gambe bocca. Grazie
Thank you for the suggestion. These features require adding 3D and puppet support. They’re complex and will be implemented sometime in the future.
Hello DP Animator team,
I understand that what I’m requesting is a completely new capability and would likely require notable changes to the interface, but I’d like to propose adding a timeline to the editor.
Is there a possibility to add a timeline in the editor so that I can precisely control when each image/element enters and exits during the animation? The idea is for each layer to have exact keyframe points (start/end, fade-in/out, duration, delay) and to be time-aligned with music and narration. Something akin to the timeline found in standard video editors (e.g., layered tracks, time scrubbing, markers), since the scene I want to build would be no longer than 10–15 seconds—the goal is simply to add elements gradually within that short interval.
A concrete example: I’d love to create a scene where elements gradually appear like in Jacquie Lawson’s ‘Christmas Lights’—first the lights on the house come on softly (left window → right window → roof lights), then a gentle glow on the snow, then the lantern flame, and finally a light wisp of smoke from the chimney. For this kind of gradual reveal, a timeline with keyframes/markers would be ideal.
Thank you for your suggestion. The current version has limited timeline options; it is available for brush text and some other animations.
I believe you can create your Christmas scene using the current version. Please check the police car example on our website.
We plan to extend and improve the timeline feature in a major version update.
ty for considering adding the pauses, atm we only seem to have fade in and fade out as a option for images, is it possible to add more effects, maybe like the slideshow apps, pixel in and out, liquid build, checker in and out, that kind of thing, and again ty for this awesome app and the ability to comment our thoughts.
