In this update, we have utilized recently added features of the Animation Constructor to enhance the main animation library of the program. We have introduced two new animated objects: Shooting Stars and Searchlight. Please take a moment to observe how they come to life in action.
Project file used in the video can be downloaded here.
Here is the full list of recent changes in this update:
- The Shooting Stars animation has been designed using Animation Constructor and is now accessible through the Standard Library as well as the Animation Constructor’s template list.
- The Searchlight animation has been designed using Animation Constructor and is now accessible through the Standard Library as well as the Animation Constructor’s template list.
- The Magic Rain template has been reworked, renamed to Meteor Shower and relocated to the Animation Constructor template list.
- Fixed Spots motion has been added to Animation Constructor.
- The bug caused by the 0 value of Spot lifetime has been resolved.
- Names of some animation properties have been fixed.
- The rotation direction of Angle mod in Animation Constructor has been fixed.
fyi – When an older existing project (made yesterday) is loaded the app shuts down… works fine if a new background image is used. This also happened once before on a previous update.
Today we issued a hot fix that should solve the problem.
Yes, that fixed the problem… thank you for your prompt attention.
When adding two animation brushes to
previous layer, the layer has a shadow.
When will this be fixed?
I have been waiting for half a year now…
Tell me, what brushes are used to make this animation of tree foliage?

It seem that animation in this video was made in 3d. You can try to animate canopy with combination of the following brushes: heat distortion, drift and bend
Bug
If you apply any animated brush to Tears* (select apply to previous layer), you will get a whole scene effect.
Instead of the effect (previous layer) the result is (whole scene)
Bug.
The background is black.
The layer is transparent and there are 3 colors on the right.
On the left, see the bug in the picture on the link.

It is a conflict with scrolling animation support. Right now you can fix it by resizing your picture canvas. it should be power of 2 ( 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1021 pixels )
Your advice doesn’t help.

I see. We will add another import fuction without scrolling support to fix this probelm.
If I understand you correctly, I’ll clarify that this problem existed even before the introduction of image scrolling.
